25 research teams recognised by the French Ministry of Education are developing their basic and applied research activities around 7 major areas:

- Territory Development
Each year, about fifty Doctorate students submit their theses via 2 Doctorate Colleges recognised by the French Ministry of Education:

- the Doctorate College of Social Sciences and humanity ED 481
